Creating a Financial Affidavit

Step-by-step guide to creating a financial affidavit in Infera.

Starting a New Affidavit

1. Navigate to the matter
2. Click Financial Affidavit in the matter sidebar
3. Click Add Financial Affidavit
4. Enter a name for the affidavit (e.g., "Smith Financial Affidavit - January 2024")
5. Click Create

Entering Personal Information

The first section collects basic information:

1. Full Legal Name - As it appears on legal documents
2. Date of Birth - Used for age calculations
3. Social Security Number - Last 4 digits only (optional)
4. Current Address - Full mailing address
5. Phone Number - Primary contact number
6. Email Address - For correspondence
7. Employer - Current employer name and address
8. Occupation - Job title or profession

Entering Income

Add all sources of income:

Employment Income

1. Click Add Income Source
2. Select Employment
3. Enter:
   • Gross monthly salary
   • Pay frequency (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly)
   • Overtime (if applicable)
   • Bonuses and commissions

Other Income

Add additional income sources:

• Self-employment income
• Rental income
• Investment dividends
• Social Security benefits
• Pension or retirement income
• Alimony received
• Child support received
• Any other regular income

For each source, enter the monthly amount and provide documentation if available.

Entering Expenses

List all monthly expenses:

Review and Verify

Before finalizing:

1. Click Review to see a summary
2. Verify all calculations are correct
3. Check for missing information
4. Ensure all amounts are accurate

Saving the Affidavit

The affidavit saves automatically, but you can also:

• Click Save to force a save
• Click Save as Draft to mark it as incomplete
• Click Finalize when ready to export

Next Steps

Once complete, export the affidavit to PDF for filing with the court.
