Notifications

Configure how and when Infera notifies you about important events.

Notification Types

Document Notifications

  • Document shared with you - Someone shared a document with you
  • Shared document viewed - Your shared document was viewed
  • Shared document downloaded - Your shared document was downloaded
  • Document uploaded - A file was uploaded via your upload link

Team Notifications

  • New team member - Someone joined your firm
  • Team member removed - Someone left your firm
  • Role changed - Your role was updated

System Notifications

  • Storage warning - Approaching storage limit
  • Billing reminder - Upcoming payment
  • Security alert - Unusual login activity

Notification Channels

Email Notifications

Receive notifications via email:

  1. Click Settings in the firm sidebar
  2. Under Email, toggle notifications on/off
  3. Choose which events trigger emails

In-App Notifications

See notifications within Infera:

  • Bell icon shows notification count
  • Click to see recent notifications
  • Mark as read or dismiss

Push Notifications

If using the mobile app:

  • Enable push notifications in app settings
  • Receive alerts even when app is closed

Configuring Notifications

Per-Notification Settings

For each notification type, choose:

  • Email - Send an email
  • In-App - Show in notification center
  • Both - Email and in-app
  • None - Disable this notification

Quiet Hours

Set times when you don't want notifications:

  1. Go to Notifications > Quiet Hours
  2. Enable quiet hours
  3. Set start and end times
  4. Choose which days apply

During quiet hours:

  • Emails are held and sent after
  • In-app notifications still appear
  • Urgent security alerts still send

Digest Mode

Instead of individual emails, receive a summary:

  1. Enable Digest Mode
  2. Choose frequency:
    • Daily (sent each morning)
    • Weekly (sent Monday morning)
  3. All notifications are bundled into one email

Managing Notifications

Viewing Notifications

  1. Click the bell icon in the header
  2. See your recent notifications
  3. Click a notification to go to the related item

Marking as Read

  • Click a notification to mark it read
  • Click Mark All Read to clear all
  • Unread notifications show a blue dot

Notification History

View older notifications:

  1. Click the bell icon
  2. Scroll down or click View All
  3. See notifications from the past 30 days

Unsubscribing

To stop all email notifications:

  1. Click Unsubscribe in any notification email
  2. Or go to Profile Settings > Notifications
  3. Disable all email notifications

You'll still receive critical security and billing emails.

Troubleshooting

Not Receiving Emails

If notification emails aren't arriving:

  1. Check your spam/junk folder
  2. Add notifications@infera.com to your contacts
  3. Verify your email address is correct
  4. Check that notifications are enabled

Too Many Notifications

If you're getting too many:

  1. Review your notification settings
  2. Disable notifications you don't need
  3. Enable digest mode for less frequent emails
  4. Set up quiet hours

Delayed Notifications

Notifications may be delayed if:

  • Your email provider is slow
  • You have digest mode enabled
  • You're in quiet hours
