Creating a Financial Affidavit
Step-by-step guide to creating a financial affidavit in Infera.
Starting a New Affidavit
- Navigate to the matter
- Click Financial Affidavit in the matter sidebar
- Click Add Financial Affidavit
- Enter a name for the affidavit (e.g., "Smith Financial Affidavit - January 2024")
- Click Create
Entering Personal Information
The first section collects basic information:
- Full Legal Name - As it appears on legal documents
- Date of Birth - Used for age calculations
- Social Security Number - Last 4 digits only (optional)
- Current Address - Full mailing address
- Phone Number - Primary contact number
- Email Address - For correspondence
- Employer - Current employer name and address
- Occupation - Job title or profession
Entering Income
Add all sources of income:
Employment Income
- Click Add Income Source
- Select Employment
- Enter:
- Gross monthly salary
- Pay frequency (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly)
- Overtime (if applicable)
- Bonuses and commissions
Other Income
Add additional income sources:
- Self-employment income
- Rental income
- Investment dividends
- Social Security benefits
- Pension or retirement income
- Alimony received
- Child support received
- Any other regular income
For each source, enter the monthly amount and provide documentation if available.
Entering Expenses
List all monthly expenses:

- Rent or mortgage payment
- Property taxes
- Homeowner's/renter's insurance
- HOA fees
- Maintenance and repairs
Utilities

- Gas
- Water and sewer

Review and Verify
Before finalizing:
- Click Review to see a summary
- Verify all calculations are correct
- Check for missing information
- Ensure all amounts are accurate
Saving the Affidavit
The affidavit saves automatically, but you can also:
- Click Save to force a save
- Click Save as Draft to mark it as incomplete
- Click Finalize when ready to export
